free stuff fridays | etsy giveaway

today’s freebie is brought to you by becky of makmaydesigns.

becky is a stay at home mom of 2 little girls that keep her really busy.  she enjoys sewing, quilting + scrapbooking, but her specialty is creating super cute, one of a kind fabric applique t-shirts, tanks, onesies and bloomers.  what i love most about her is that if you don’t see exactly what you are looking for in her shop, she absolutely loves doing custom orders.  and for those that are always on the hunt for adorable boy stuff, be sure to check out her other shop thevroomroom.

i first came across makmaydesigns when searching for halloween costumes last fall.  i instantly fell in love with her funny duckie tank top and decided that katelyn had to have it!  if you read my personal blog you might remember these photos.

anyways, on to the good stuff!  becky has agreed to give one of our lucky fans a t-shirt of their choice.…any shirt in either of her shops (up to $25 value).

here’s all you have to do:

1. check out becky’s shops makmaydesigns + thevroomroom.

2. become a fan/like makmaydesigns and/or thevroomroom.

3. leave a comment on my facebook fan page under my wall post “FSF giveaway: what makmaydesigns or vroomroom shirt would you want if you were the winner?  post your comment here!” and do exactly as it says….simply tell me what shirt you would want if you were the winner (to do this you must first become a fan/like my page).

i will be taking entries until 11:59pm CST tonight (friday, may 14th).  the winner will be selected using random.org and will be announced on saturday morning.

Erin

Awesome! Thanks to you and to Becky!

Michelle Anderson

Thanks girls it is to you and your creativity that my daughter and I owe our thanks!! We love custom girly things :)

future heartbreakers | houston child photographer

i had the pleasure of meeting j+j (ages 8 + 10) yesterday.  these boys were so much fun!  they were great models for me and were naturals in front of the camera.  i think i see modeling careers in their future!  seriously.  aren’t they handsome little guys??!

oh and lesson learned from this session….don’t overuse the word “cute” with 8 and 10 year old boys.  in fact, don’t use the word “cute” at all. haha!  i’m working on it!  it’s hard when you are around girls every day!

Abby

Sara, you did amazing with these. Boys that age are hard but you rocked it!

you did great, I smiled through all of them, I can’t wait until my boys are that age (well yes I can but it gives me that to look forward to!)

saraseeton

aww! thanks guys :)

lily | katy natural light photographer

when i was asked to do this photo session i was so excited!  by no means am i an animal or pet photographer, but i just couldn’t turn down a chance to get together for a play date with sweet lily.  this beautiful weimaraner is dear to my heart and is an old friend of mine.  she used to be a part of our family until last year right before lauren was born.  lily was very loved by jeff, katelyn + i, however she outgrew our home and needed more space to run wild (weims are extremely active and hyper!).  our friend who lives out in the country was looking for another dog to add to her family and it was a match made in heaven!  lily loves her new home where she has acres to roam, another doggy to play with, and lots of attention from her new mommy.

i had such a great time playing at the dog park, bribing lily with treats and watching her show off all her new tricks.  she’s still the same sweet lily i remember and love!

free stuff fridays | printable art

because i love my fans (at least i would hope that you are a fan/liker by now), i’ve decided to share with you something that i made for katelyn + lauren’s playroom.  it has become quite popular.   i’ve received a lot of positive feedback and people are always asking where i bought it, how i made it, etc.

it’s the alphabet wall art!

instructions are pretty simple:

1. download + print out all 3 pages (be sure to check your printer settings so the letters aren’t getting cut off.  you may need to “shrink to fit page”.

2. cut out by hand.   yes this is the only part that sucks.  but so worth it after you see it on the wall!

3. use double-sided tape (or any other adhesive product) to stick to wall.

voila!  there you have it!  you’re very own alphabet wall art.

be sure to download it today.  it won’t be available for long!  each of my FSF (free stuff friday) downloads will only be available for that day.

p.s. click here and here to see more photos of katelyn + lauren’s playroom, which was featured on ohdeedoh early this year.

Love it!!! I saw your playroom featured before I knew who you were! Thanks!
