this was a session that was long overdue. and of all days, for some reason i chose today to blog their session, even though i did this session all the way back in december. well, i just happened to look at the date just now as i was typing this + realized that today is this beautiful couple’s wedding anniversary! and oddly enough, that is exactly how i met them! remember back in the wedding planning days, an online forum called the knot? is that even still a popular thing?? i have no clue…haha! but back then it sure was. and that is exactly how i met bridgett + wayne. it just so happened, that they were getting married at the same venue as us…and using almost all the same exact vendors. and we were both planning from distances….i was in canada at the time + she was in connecticut, but we were both getting married in the dallas fort worth area. we hit it off instantly + have been friends ever since….that was 10 years ago! we have been through all life’s big events together…weddings, babies, career changes….and FINALLY we were able to meet up over the christmas holidays while they were here visiting family so that i could take some photos of their beautiful family. we were blessed with beautiful weather that day…okay okay….it was a little bit chilly, but beautiful for a december day! thank you so much bridgett + wayne for trusting me to capture these memories for your sweet family. i can’t wait to see you all again! and happy happy anniversary!!! xoxo
as usual, i’m way behind on blogging sessions! here’s another one from back in the fall with one of my favorite families to photograph. i’ve been photographing them since their little guy was born + i loved being able to capture him + his beautiful sister getting bigger. this is my one family that has really bad luck with the weather….i swear, every single time we have had a session booked, we’ve had to reschedule like 5 times! haha we finally lucked out with some beautiful sunshine for this session, even though it was super cold that day. maybe next time we’ll luck out with both sunshine + warm temps!
it never fails. every session with this sweet family always becomes a new favorite of mine (this was session #5 i think!). this was a session just for sweet little scarlett, but i asked her momma to get in some of the photos to capture some real moments of them just snuggling, whispering secrets, giving kisses. i simply just laid on the ground with my camera, snapping away while watching their amazing mommy/daughter connection. no direction from me. i just let them do their thing. you can literally feel the love between them just from looking through the photos. it was super difficult to narrow down images to blog…so here’s a ginormous share for you! can’t wait to see them again this spring for their family session!
