this family was full of fun + totally my style….very laid back + casual. their 4 year old daughter had THE MOST beautiful eyes + hair color. someone even stopped to ask if it was her natural hair color…lol! anyways, take a peek for yourself…i’m not lying. this little girl is the most adorable thing!
ok, this is like waaaay long overdue, but better late than never, right? we celebrated lauren’s 1st birthday at the end of may and decided to have an ice cream sundae birthday bash in the backyard. it was a huge hit not only with the kids but all the grown ups loved it as well, especially since it was 90+ out that day!
the ice cream buffet had all the fixings…strawberry, chocolate and caramel sauces, fresh strawberries, sprinkles, maraschino cherries, oreo crumbs, butterfinger crumbs, marshmellows, nerds, crushed nuts, and even root beer for those yummy frosty floats.
the kiddos enjoyed swimming, water balloons, bubbles, the swing set, the bounce house and just running around like maniacs. we finished up the party singing to the sweet birthday girl and snacking on delicious cupcakes baked in ice cream cones. so cute + clever! thanks to bombshell pastry for those treats!

i was finally able to shoot my first senior session while i was back home in canada. and i loved every minute of it. how could i not? this girl is ridiculously gorgeous. seriously. hard to believe i used to babysit her. wow…do i feel old or what?! anyways, courtney…enjoy your sneak peek + enjoy your summer!

during my vacation in canada, i met up with a photographer friend of mine and did a photo session swap….she did our family photos and i did hers.
how cute is she and her family?? you could never tell they were being eaten alive by mosquitoes, right?!? the minute we all stepped out of our vehicles we were swarmed. seriously. it was horrible. i think this session was my quickest session to date….and i’ve got scars from itching all those mosquito bites!
