i met amii through clickinmoms a couple of years ago + i have had the pleasure of doing her family pictures three years in a row now. i have loved watching her family grow + one of my absolute favorite sessions of mine is her lifestyle newborn session from last year when she allowed me into her beautiful home to document a little bit of their every day lives with her new baby boy, jock. he’s not so little anymore though! aren’t her boys so handsome? future heartbreakers for sure!! you know what else is kinda cool? amii + i were chatting + i realized that not only have we done something different for each of her sessions (urban, lifestyle + woodsy….is that a word? lol) but i’ve also used a different camera for each session (canon 40D, 5D mark ii + 5D mark iii). it’s been amazing seeing my work progress + i’ve definitely found my groove + style since i first began my photography career. i’m so grateful to be amii’s family photographer + look forward to my next session with them!

ps….how gorgeous are they? and their wardrobe? perfection!!

Love, love, love this for so many reasons. One ~ he’s yours so it makes it that much more special. Two ~ it’s real. I love newborns that are shot with a lifestyle approach. Three ~ I love that you shot right on the carpet. This probably sounds funny but I have a room in my house that has great light, lots of windows, but it’s carpeted. I always feel like I have to cover it. Like I need one of those faux flooring rugs. I love this so much!
